We’re looking for a responsible and proactive Lifeguard Team Lead to oversee daily pool operations and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for our members and guests. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their lifeguarding skills, enjoys working with a team, and takes pride in maintaining high safety and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the lifeguard team during daily operations
- Monitor the pool area to ensure safety rules and procedures are followed
- Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies
- Help create staff schedules and assist with shift coverage as needed
- Train, mentor, and support new lifeguards
- Perform regular safety checks and maintain a clean, organized pool environment
- Communicate clearly with management, staff, and members
- Step in to cover lifeguard shifts when needed
Qualifications
- Current lifeguard certification required (American Red Cross or equivalent)
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
- Previous lifeguarding experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to stay alert, focused, and calm in fast-paced or emergency situations
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
