QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires current Lifeguarding with waterfront, CPR/First Aid/AED and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications by a nationally recognized certifying body. All guards must be at least 16 years of age, be able to sit or stand while guarding for extended periods of time-alert at all times. Demonstrate good verbal skills in communicating with participants, and staff. Must be able to respond to any given emergency and know how to use emergency equipment. Guards must be able to pass the "Lifeguard Skills Verification" test before hire. Have a genuine interest in people and the ability to establish harmonious relationships with participants, and staff is needed. Dedication and ability to take instruction and follow through, problem solve, work well with others, resources and equipment is required. Must be mature, flexible, adaptable, and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
