The Maintenance Technician – Assembly Line is responsible for performing maintenance and machine support activities to ensure manufacturing equipment remains available, reliable, and capable of meeting production requirements. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position requires hands-on technical expertise and the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identify, report, and correct safety hazards within control; stop work in case of major risks.
- Use appropriate PPE and actively participate in HSE training programs.
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and interdependent working.
Equipment Maintenance & Support
- Perform preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FTA).
- Support equipment uptime through effective troubleshooting and downtime analysis.
- Perform maintenance activities as per technical drawings, manuals, and specifications using appropriate tools and instruments.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning.
Quality & Delivery
- Apply high standards of workmanship and adhere to quality procedures and documentation.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with manufacturing quality standards.
- Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints to support production goals.
- Schedule maintenance activities in alignment with production requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Development
- Drive process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to enhance equipment performance, safety, and process flow.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational challenges and improve efficiency.
- Provide feedback to improve preventive maintenance systems and processes.
Communication & Teamwork
- Communicate technical information effectively with team members, supervisors, and support functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production and operational goals.
- Participate in training, knowledge sharing, and skill development initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesQualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Relevant technical training or certification in mechanical/industrial maintenance is preferred.
- May require compliance with export control or regulatory requirements depending on role scope.

- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and mechanical assemblies.

- Basic understanding of electrical systems and industrial automation (preferred).

Experience
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in assembly line maintenance or manufacturing environments.
- Experience in maintenance of rotary fixtures, tooling alignment, multi-stage pumps, and conveyor systems.
- Exposure to advanced manufacturing setups including servo pressing, laser welding, robotics/cobots, leak testing systems, and automated assembly lines is preferred.
