Indoor Swim Instructor or Lifeguard

Some team members may specialize in one role, while others who hold current lifeguard certifications may have the opportunity to teach swim lessons and provide lifeguard coverage as needed.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Swim Instructor: 

• Train with an experienced mentor to learn our proven swim instruction methods
• Teach weekly lessons for children ages 6 months -12 years 
• Celebrate student milestones and build confidence 
• Create positive, trusting relationships with students and parents
• Keep safety a top priority for everyone in and around the pool
• Stay active and engaged in this on-your-feet, in the water role

As a Lifeguard (if certified): 

• Monitor pool activities to maintain a safe environment 
• Enforce pool rules and respond quickly to emergencies 
• Perform rescues and administer CPR/AED/First Aid when necessary 
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards 
• Maintain focused attention to reduce risks
• Support special events and weekend pool parties 

Your Schedule: 

• Set shifts that include evenings and weekends 
• Great hours for students and part-timers
• Opportunities to pick up more hours through cross-training

What It Takes: 

As a Swim Instructor: 

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Love working with kids and bringing positive energy
• Reliable, safety-minded and professional 
• Comfortable in the water and active on your feet 
• Previous teaching or swim experience a plus (paid training provided)

As a Lifeguard: 

• Must be at least 15 years old 
• Current Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (Red Cross or equivalent)
• Strong swimming and rescue skills 
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies 

What You'll Earn:

• The pay range for this position is $10.00 - $16.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and certifications. 
• Entry-level team members start at the beginning of the pay range, with regular opportunities for pay increases as they grow.
