Golf Course Mowers

The Legacy Golf Course Maintenance team is looking for Mowers for the 2026 Summer Season! This early-morning job is perfect for veterans, retirees, or anyone looking to get on the golf course! 

Job Purpose:

Golf Course Mowers are responsible for mowing and maintaining the golf course to established standards of quality, consistency, and playability. This position requires safe operation of specialized turf equipment, attention to detail, and coordination with the golf course superintendent and maintenance team to ensure optimal turf conditions.  

• Operate a variety of mowers to maintain greens, tees, fairways, and roughs 
• Follow the daily schedule and mowing patterns established by the golf course superintendent
• Ensure clean cut quality, proper overlap, and minimal turf damage (no whip turns) during all mowing operations. Slow down over sprinkler heads, valves, and drains during the operation of equipment
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of mowing equipment after each use. Fuel mower at the end of the day, ensuring the gas cap is on tight
• Follow all safety procedures, including awareness of golfers, other equipment, and course conditions

• Ability to safely operate mower equipment.
• Ability to perform the pre-operation checklist to ensure the mower is ready for use for the day.
• Ability to recognize hazards such as debris, high or damaged irrigation heads, and uneven terrain.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain consistent cut quality and minimize turf damage.
• Ability to follow mowing patterns, schedules, and instructions from the golf course superintendent or supervisor.
• Willingness to work early mornings as required by golf course operations. The schedule can change due to tournaments and holidays.
• Ability to perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including standing, bending, lifting, sitting (7 hours) and walking for extended periods.
• Age 16+ with a driver’s license required

 What you need to bring:

• Positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license (a plus). Must be at least 16 years old to operate mowing equipment (14/15 years old can work with restricted hours and limited equipment operation)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to work early mornings (start time 6am)
• Must be able to work independently or as a team

This is a seasonal position ranging from April 1st to November 1st. Start and end dates can be very flexible depending upon your availability.
