The Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, and unloading of stock, raw materials, and finished products within the warehouse and production areas. This role supports the production and logistics teams by ensuring timely material handling, accurate stock placement, and compliance with safety standards.
JOB DELIVERABLES:
Warehouse and Stock Management
Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled carefully.
Transport raw materials to production lines as needed.
Move finished products to storage or dispatch areas.
Place goods in designated locations according to warehouse layout.
Assist with stock counts, ensuring accurate inventory management.
Report damaged goods, packaging issues, or stock discrepancies immediately.
Production Support
Ensure production has a continuous supply of required materials.
Coordinate with production staff to minimise downtime due to material shortages.
Assist in staging products for dispatch or further processing.
Safety Compliance
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
Perform pre-inspection checks on forklifts before use.
Report any maintenance issues or faults on forklifts immediately.
Keep working areas neat, safe, and organised.
Skills and Qualifications
Valid forklift driver licence (required).
Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse, logistics, or production environment.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and stock handling.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Ability to work under pressure and support production needs.
