ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Firefighter will work at the Superspeedway in various positions and locations. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Respond to fire, emergency medical, and other emergency services calls as needed. 
  • Controls and extinguishes fires by selection of appropriate diameter hoses and nozzles
  • Remove people from dangerous or hazardous situations through an approved means
  • Ensures a safe and fun environment for all guests, staff, sponsors and partners
  • Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests
  • Ensures the safety of guests and employees
  • Utilizes various forms of firefighting equipment and fire suppression or rescue operations
  • Patrols assigned areas as directed
  • Responds to emergencies as trained

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be 18 years of age 
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed
  • Must present an overall clean, neat appearance, and report to work in appropriate attire
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license 
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
  • Must be able to pass a background verification
  • Must have completed Hazmat Response Skill or equivalent
  • Must have completed Flammable Liquid Course
