Introduction

Job Title: Electronic / Instrument Technician

Location: Electrical Engineering Department: Bellville Factory

Role description:

Overall routine maintenance tasks and improvements on instrumentation, electrical and electronic equipment for the entire plant.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides an Instrumentation, Inspection & Electronic breakdown service.
  • Is responsible for the maintenance of instrumentation, inspection and electronic equipment.
  • Ensures the spares supply chain is maintained and further developed.
  • Ensures Electrical & Instrument department is performing well to meet set targets.
  • Identifies and eliminates any risk to production loss.
  • Keeps abreast on any developments in IT systems, instrument and electronic fields.
  • Ensures safety standards are adhered to.
  • Provides training when required.
  • Performs standby duties
  • Participates in MDWT activities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • S4 / N6 (Light current Electrical Engineering).
  • 3-5 years troubleshooting and maintaining control systems.
  • SAP PM orders & notification PC skills are an advantage.
  • Problem Solving & Analysis / Fault Finding.
  • Team Orientation.
  • High Resilience.
  • Decision making and Action Orientation.
  • Results Orientation.
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Own reliable transport is essential.
