As our scope of works increases and strengthens, we are seeking 2 x Electrical & Instrumentation / Hazardous Area Technicians to join our Operations & Maintenance team at RAAF Pearce and HMAS Stirling, Perth WA.

The Role – E&I Technician – Hazardous Areas

Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based at RAAF Pearce or HMAS Stirling supporting surrounding locations in the WA region, with travel.

 You will be a part of a core crew of UGL technicians. These duties will include, but not limited to; 

  • Perform scheduled electrical & Instrumentation, maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  • Electrical Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required
  • Support various sites in the region, with the occasional requirement to travel throughout WA

 

As an Electrical Tradesperson / E&I Technician, you will:

  • Be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer

  • E & I Certification and A-grade electrical licence with relevant post trade experience

  • Experience in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas / (EEHA) trained is advantageous
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do!
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance

 

The Rates:

New Rates as of 1st July 2025 - Maintenance Trades (Electrical) 

  • Level 1 - $45.74 p/h + Super - Plus Licence Allowance (50.40 Weekly) & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly)
  • Level 2 - $49.34 p/h + Super - Plus Licence Allowance (50.40 Weekly) & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly)
  • Level 3 (Dual Trade) - $52.95 p/h + Super - Plus Licence Allowance (50.40 Weekly) & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly)
