Description
We are seeking a dynamic and trade-qualified Electrical Technician with strong fault-finding capability, a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to safety and compliance.
A key focus of this role is maintaining and improving the reliability of critical water infrastructure, supporting operational teams, and ensuring all electrical and control systems meet regulatory and operational standards.

Our new site will bring together all Council operations under one roof, creating a dynamic, collaborative, and future-focused workplace. Located on a spacious 71-hectare site, the facility has been designed with staff wellbeing, sustainability, and operational excellence in mind. Rous has an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

Your average workday will be kept busy by:
- Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical, electronic and communications systems across Council infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting faults in PLC, SCADA, telemetry and process control systems.
- Maintaining electrical switchboards, motors, instrumentation and associated control equipment.
- Using Council’s asset management system to record maintenance activities and equipment data.
- Supporting safe work practices by completing risk assessments and complying with WHS procedures.
- Coordinating with contractors and team members to deliver maintenance and improvement works across water infrastructure assets
