About the role
We’re currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support delivery across a major energy infrastructure project, working with a Tier 1 client.
Based in Brisbane with regular site engagement, this role will see you providing both technical and commercial support across project delivery, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
This is a project-based contract role (April–October) with strong potential to transition into a permanent position, offering exposure to large-scale, complex infrastructure projects within the energy sector.
With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by:
- Provide day-to-day engineering support across project delivery and site activities
- Partner with project teams to develop and refine project plans and delivery strategies
- Support procurement activities, including materials and subcontractor engagement
- Prepare and manage key project documentation (RFIs, TQs, registers, reports)
- Assist with cost tracking, variations, and project reporting
- Coordinate subcontractors and support scheduling and work planning activities
- Conduct site inspections to ensure works are delivered to specification and safety standards
- Support project mobilisation and execution activities
- Contribute to smooth transition from tender through to project delivery phases.
Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience within construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects
- Experience working within Major Hazard Facilities (e.g. gas plants)
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery environments
- Experience working across multidisciplinary projects (civil, SMP, electrical)
- Proven ability to develop and manage project documentation and work packs
- Strong commercial awareness, including exposure to cost tracking and variations
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across site and office teams
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
