Description

Under supervision, this position is primarily responsible for planning, preparing, and serving meals and snacks according to resident dietary plan of care guidelines. Additionally, this position may perform housekeeping related duties and/or participate in other resident services activities as required.

We are hiring for Cook positions in the Dietary Department at Providence Seward Mountain Haven in Seward, AK!

  • Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 10-hr Day shifts, 40 hours per week.
  • Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 10-hr Variable shifts, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

  • National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority upon hire.
  • Completion of State of Alaska approved feeding assistance program within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
  • 2 years experience in quantity food preparation required, including knowledge of hot and cold food preparation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Vocational/Culinary Arts.
  • Experience with the elderly.
