Qualifications
Required Qualifications (RQs):
-
Language: Fluent in German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both.
-
Customer Facing Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead technical conversations and workshops with enterprise customers, manage requirements, and drive adoption of messaging and collaboration solutions. Strong advisory skills to translate business requirements into technical Exchange solutions that deliver value.
-
Enterprise Environment Experience: Proven success working in large enterprise environments with complex organizational structures and compliance requirements. Ability to navigate and deliver results in matrixed organizations and to manage multiple stakeholders’ expectations.
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years' experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
-
Copilot Expertise: Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, and related AI-powered productivity solutions across enterprise customers. This includes deploying and customizing Copilot capabilities to enhance workflows across Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, and Word, leveraging enterprise data from Microsoft Graph to address specific organizational use cases.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure that AI solutions accelerate adoption and deliver measurable business value and ROI in real-world customer environments.
-
Agent Expertise: Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI agents that extend Copilot's functionality by acting as specialized AI assistants tailored to specific business domains — applying organizational knowledge and automation to streamline business processes, enhance decision-making, and improve efficiency. Proficiency in defining an agent's core components, including custom knowledge sources, custom instructions, and automated actions and workflows, and in using both low-code and pro-code tools (such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and the Microsoft 365 Agents Toolkit) to build, configure, and deploy these agents within the Microsoft ecosystem. Experience with Copilot prompt engineering and Agent-building expertise to drive AI adoption at scale
-
Technical Depth: Deep expertise (level 300+) in AI solution architecture — including a strong understanding of how foundation models power reasoning, language understanding, and response generation, and how the orchestrator acts as the central engine managing how an agent interacts with knowledge, skills, and autonomy.
- Practical experience with both declarative agents (which utilize Copilot's AI infrastructure and orchestrator) and custom engine agents (which require custom orchestration, model selection, and external hosting). Demonstrated proficiency in advanced prompt engineering and solution design for enterprise-scale AI deployments, with a track record of governance at scale in complex organizations. Familiarity with frameworks and languages commonly used to build custom AI orchestration, such as .NET, Python, JavaScript, and frameworks like Semantic Kernel or LangChain.
-
Customer Change Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead technical conversations and workshops with enterprise customers, manage requirements, and drive adoption of Copilot and AI solutions.
- Strong advisory skills to accelerate AI adoption and change management by creating business value and ROI — translating customer business challenges into actionable AI solutions and guiding stakeholders through organizational and cultural transformation.
- Experience with continuous, self-directed learning in areas such as Copilot Chat, Agents, M365 Copilot, business value realization, and adoption and change management, and ability to build and maintain technical readiness aligned to Customer Success Unit (CSU) priorities and corporate initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
-
AI Solution Development Experience: Experience developing or customizing AI solutions — such as building declarative or custom engine agents, Copilot extensions, or AI-driven applications — to solve complex business challenges. Declarative agents enable configuring Copilot for specific scenarios by adding custom instructions, additional knowledge, and actions to automate business processes, while custom engine agents allow fully customized orchestration for scenarios requiring complex workflows or specific language models. Familiarity with modern workplace transformation and AI-enablement concepts is highly valued, as is a track record of piloting innovative AI projects that create tangible customer impact.
-
Programming & Automation: Proficiency in software development and scripting to tailor or extend AI solutions. Comfortable with programming languages and tools — e.g. Python, .NET, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, PowerShell — and frameworks for AI orchestration and automation such as Semantic Kernel or LangChain. Ability to develop or customize scripts and connectors to create efficiencies and reusable IP for customer engagements, extending Copilot and agent capabilities through custom workflows, API integrations, and tenant-level configurations.
-
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Strong troubleshooting capabilities in Copilot and AI agent deployments, including diagnosing integration errors, unexpected AI behavior, and performance bottlenecks. Experience using monitoring, analytics, and logging tools to identify root causes and continuously optimize AI performance, ensuring reliable and effective solutions in complex enterprise environments.
-
Security & Responsible AI: Solid understanding of security, compliance, and Responsible AI (RAI) practices for cloud-based AI solutions. Knowledge of how declarative agents adhere to Microsoft 365's security, compliance, and RAI requirements, and awareness that custom engine agents require the organization to ensure its own compliance, RAI practices, and security measures. Ability to design Copilot and agent solutions that meet organizational and regulatory guidelines around data privacy, access control, and auditing.
-
Ecosystem Integration: Experience integrating Copilot and AI agents with the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem and third-party systems. Understanding of how Copilot leverages Microsoft Graph and enterprise data to enhance workflows across applications like Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word, as well as how agents can use custom actions to integrate with APIs and interact with external systems in real time. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot connectors for connecting external data sources such as Teams messages, SharePoint, and OneDrive, and experience enabling agents to take actions across multiple applications and platforms.
- Additional Certifications/Skills: Relevant Microsoft certifications in AI and cloud technologies (e.g. AZ-305 for solution architects, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, or Azure AI and security certifications) are a plus. Certifications specific to AI engineering or upcoming Microsoft Copilot specializations are also beneficial. Continuous learner with a passion for staying current on AI advancements; participation in AI/ML community events or publishing technical content and IP on Copilot and AI topics is also beneficial.
