Bank Physiotherapist - Inpatients – Fitzwilliam Hospital – Bank Hours

The role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our bank support team to work at our hospital.

A Bank Inpatient Orthopaedic Physiotherapist provides physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for post‑operative orthopaedic inpatients within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). The post typically includes weekend availability and flexible weekday cover.

  • Assess, treat, and clinically manage patients following orthopaedic surgery.

  • Create and deliver post‑operative rehabilitation programmes in line with clinical protocols.

  • Work collaboratively within an MDT to support safe, effective discharge planning.

  • Run post‑operative or rehabilitation classes as required by line management.

  • Provide physiotherapy management for a caseload including NHS and private patients (site dependent).

  • Maintain high‑quality documentation and use of digital systems (e.g., Microsoft Office).

The hospital is situated in the quiet landscaped grounds of the Milton Estate in Peterborough and has 54 single bedrooms and one twin-bedded room, all with en suite facilities. The hospital provides services for both private and NHS patients.

What you’ll bring with you

  • Relevant degree in Physiotherapy Ideally with relevant Inpatient and Orthopaedics Experience

  • Current HCPC Registration

  • Current member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

  • Ability to undertake a full Clinical caseload of varied inpatient post op patients.

  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office

  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office

  • Proficient in running relevant post op and other classes required by your line manager
