Job Title: Azure AI / Foundry Specialist + Copilot Studio

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior-level Azure AI / Foundry Specialist with Copilot Studio expertise to analyze, stabilize, and modernize an existing large-scale Copilot implementation. This role focuses on enhancing and optimizing an established solution (approximately 600 topics), not building from scratch.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures, and enterprise-scale AI deployments, with the ability to improve performance, scalability, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze an existing Copilot Studio implementation with ~600 topics to identify:
  • Redundant or overlapping topics
  • Performance bottlenecks and routing inefficiencies
  • Opportunities for generative AI and RAG enhancements
• Design and implement enhancements using Azure AI / Foundry, including:
  • Cognitive Search with embeddings
  • Custom RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) endpoints
  • Function/tool calling for advanced reasoning
  • Conversion of static topics into generative, grounded responses
• Develop advanced AI capabilities such as:
  • Text summarization
  • Advanced query understanding
  • Context persistence across conversations
  • Multi-step reasoning using Azure AI orchestration
• Improve content grounding using internal documents and web sources with modern Azure AI approaches
• Optimize chatbot performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Deliver a robust, scalable architecture that internal teams can support post-implementation
• Create comprehensive documentation, including:
  • Technical designs
  • Enhancement details
  • Troubleshooting playbooks

Required Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI / Foundry
• Proven experience working with LLM-based solutions in Azure (2–3+ years)
• Hands-on experience with RAG solutions, including:
  • Azure Cognitive Search (indexing, chunking, enrichment)
• Experience optimizing and scaling production-level AI/chatbot implementations
• Strong skills in prompt engineering, testing, and evaluation methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on large-scale or enterprise chatbot/virtual assistant platforms
• Ability to act as a technical lead and mentor internal teams
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise platforms (e.g., internal portals, collaboration tools)
