Respond quickly and positively to guests’ questions, requests, problems, and complaints and resolve them effectively and consistently.
Maintains overall knowledge of the resort and provides proactive assistance to customers when appropriate using clear and concise conversation.
Directly supervises a group of children and ensures their personal safety during the program.
Delivers programs in a way that is creative, fun, and exciting to children through showmanship and entertaining presentation.
Leads various recreational, adventurous, and interpretive programs for children.
Engages and involving children in all aspects of the program including recreational games, activities, arts and crafts, computer programs and games, video games, swimming, and field trips.
Ensures a roster of each child in attendance with complete information is available for every session.
Completes daily routine and maintains tasks as assigned.
Actively promotes the program.
Accepts and inputs reservations and registration information.
Remind parents of pick-up times.
Keep accurate records.
Ensures each child has a nametag and wristband and each parent has claim check.
Encourages guest feedback regarding programming, service, and facilities.
Ensure work is balanced and completed on time.
Ensure the daily ops and information sheets are completed before shift ends.
Ensure crafts and guest belongings are not left at the desks, cubbies, or locker room.
Communicate any concerns to the AKA Floor Manager
Attend meetings as assigned.
Ensures that work area is left clean and in order at end of shift.
Ensure that there are sufficient supplies available for the next shift, advise the Manager on duty of any additional supplies needed.
Performs other reasonable duties that may be requested by management from time to time.
Requirements
Valid experience, education or background in childcare, recreation, education, or related areas.
Strong swimming ability.
Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office and Micros
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Certification in CPR and First Aid, second language helpful.
Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
Ability to focus attention on details.
Ability to work along with other departments and coworkers as part of a team.
Ability to work well under pressure on any assigned.
Ability to think clearly, quickly and make brief decisions.
Ability to multitask between multiple guests and telephone.
Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
