This hourly position is responsible for the design, planning and implementation of sports programs at the Frisco Adventure Park.  Applicant must have experience in a variety youth sports and activities, including, but not limited to the following: skateboarding, mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, water sports, team building and orienteering. Assists in the development of a curriculum that meets the industry standards in regards to progression, safety and technique.  This position requires an accountable, energetic, organized, team player with strong teaching/coaching skills.

Desired start date: 5/26/2026estimated end-of-season date: 8/24/2026

Monday-Friday: four 10 hour shifts, some weeknights

Job Summary: Responsible for the design, planning and implementation of sports programs at the Frisco Adventure Park. Applicant must have experience in a variety youth sports and activities, including, but not limited to the following: skateboarding, mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, water sports, team building and orienteering. Assists in the development of a curriculum that meets the industry standards in regards to progression, safety and technique. This position requires an accountable, energetic, organized, team player with strong teaching/coaching skills.

  • Assists with the development of the program outlines and curriculum to develop skill progression, technique, and safety in order to deliver quality programs to the community.
  • Teaches, leads, coaches and participates in daily activities. Delivers exceptional service to all guests.
  • Assists with administrative and logistical requirements for programs, including, but not limited to, registration paperwork, waivers, rosters, evaluations and planning documents, etc.
  • Implements recreation program evaluations and passes guests feedback to the Recreation Programs Manager.
  • May transport participants in Town or other Town obtained vehicles. 
  • Adheres to recreation program policies, safety requirements, time keeping procedures, paperwork tracking, and other Town policies.  Documents accidents and incidents and reports these to the Recreation Programs Manager in a timely and accurate manner.  
  • Communicates programs information to the public. Acts as a liaison and the primary point of contact with program participants. 
  • Maintains professional attitudes and relationships with parents, participants, and co-workers.
  • Ensures the facilities are clean, well-maintained and presentable to guests throughout daily operations. 
  • Communicates in a timely and professional manner with citizens, visitors, and Town of Frisco staff.
  • Adheres to all Town of Frisco and Recreation Department policies and procedures; including but not limited to safety standards.  
  • Works in a team-based environment supporting the Recreation Department, the Town of Frisco, and the initiatives of the Director and Managers.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Education: GED or High School Diploma-required

Licenses, Certifications or Accreditations:

  • Community CPR/AED and First Aid, and PDT is required within the first 60 days of hire-required
  • Valid Colorado Driver's license.  Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a 15 passenger van-required

Previous Work Experience: 1 year in youth recreation, preferably coaching or teaching youth ages 6-12- preferred

Language Ability: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required

Other: Experience or certifications related to coaching or teaching sports- preferred
