Smile Digital Health is a health technology company that builds a FHIR®-first Health Data Platform, designed to let organizations share structured health data using open standards. The platform transforms legacy data into FHIR resources, a format intended to remain independent of any single vendor, while maintaining enterprise-grade performance and leaving data ownership with the client. Its technical work spans health data interoperability, integration and repositories, data exchange, and legacy data transformation.

The company reports more than 120 customers across over 20 countries. It serves healthcare providers, health insurance payers, Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), and healthcare research organizations. The founding team first met in 2011 while working on health integration and data repository projects.
