Septentrio

Septentrio designs and delivers high-precision, multi-frequency GNSS receivers with anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technology for industrial and autonomous systems.

Septentrio designs and delivers high-precision, multi-frequency, multi-constellation GNSS receivers built for reliable positioning in demanding industrial and autonomous environments. Founded in 2000, the company spun off from imec, a Belgian research institute, and now serves clients worldwide. It was acquired by Hexagon in 2025.

The company's engineering work centres on receiver design and the technologies that keep positioning dependable under duress. Its receivers deliver decimeter to centimeter-level accuracy across multiple frequencies and satellite constellations, while AIM+ anti-jamming technology and anti-spoofing protections counter interference, jamming and spoofing threats. The resulting products are applied in mission-critical navigation and autonomy, where positioning failure is not an option.

Septentrio's receivers are used across marine, mining, agriculture, autonomous vehicle, robotics, defense and industrial systems. The company describes an engineering-driven culture with a customer-centric approach to technical support, ongoing firmware updates for existing customers, and a stated commitment to accuracy, reliability and continuous innovation.
