Quantum Machines

Quantum Machines develops quantum control systems and classical-quantum orchestration infrastructure, including the QOP platform, OPX1000 controller and QUA language, for the quantum computing sector.

Quantum Machines builds quantum control systems and classical-quantum orchestration infrastructure, addressing the gap between quantum control and classical computing in quantum research and development. Its Quantum Orchestration Platform (QOP) is designed to harmonise quantum and classical operations across hardware and software, with the stated aim of improving performance and shortening the path toward practical quantum computing.

The product line spans several layers of the quantum stack. OPX1000 is a modular quantum controller; QUA is a programming language for quantum control and orchestration; and the Pulse Processing Unit (PPU) provides classical computing at the pulse level. Technical work covers quantum control systems, hybrid quantum-classical computing, pulse-level processing, FPGA and hardware control, chip design and systems engineering.

The company reports that it serves more than 50% of the companies developing quantum computers, working across quantum computing and quantum research and development. Its team is described as multidisciplinary, combining quantum physicists, software and systems engineers and chip designers. Its stated focus is on enabling researchers and builders to iterate quickly, resolve setbacks and develop new ideas.
