OX Security

OX Security builds the VibeSec Platform, an application-security product that secures AI-generated code by combining SAST, SCA, DAST and container security with code-to-cloud context.

OX Security is a cyber-security company founded in 2021 in the wake of the SolarWinds attack. It builds software to secure AI-generated code at scale, an approach it terms Vibe-Coding Security. The firm's stated aim is prevention: stopping vulnerabilities at the moment of creation so that code produced with the help of AI assistants is secure by design, rather than patched after the fact.

Its principal product is the VibeSec Platform, which consolidates static application security testing (SAST), software composition analysis (SCA), dynamic application security testing (DAST) and container security within a single solution, with code-to-cloud context. The platform is designed to filter noise: OX Security says it eliminates 95% of irrelevant findings so that application-security and DevOps teams can concentrate on the 5% of vulnerabilities that are exploitable, reachable and impactful. The engineering remit spans application security, vulnerability prioritisation and remediation, and container security, among related domains.

Customers named by the company include General Motors, Microsoft, Intel and SoFi, spanning the automotive, technology and financial-services industries. OX Security is backed by strategic corporate venture investors, among them M12, Microsoft's venture fund, and IBM Ventures. Further details on the size of the team and the company's funding rounds are not publicly disclosed.
