Cova

Cova was a fintech company, founded in 2021, that offered a single source of truth for personal wealth. Its platform organised and tracked assets across bank accounts, brokerage and investment holdings, stocks, cryptocurrency and other assets, alongside notes and credentials. The company's engineering team was based in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Cova platform combined asset tracking and aggregation with an emergency-access feature: a dead-man's switch that made net-worth information available to designated recipients if triggered. The product spanned backend services, a React web frontend and a React Native mobile application. The stated aim was to give individuals greater control over their financial lives and a practical means of preparing for unforeseen circumstances.

Cova operated in the personal finance, wealth-management and estate-planning verticals, and was founded by Oluyomi Ojo, previously founder and CEO of Printivo. The company reported that it shut down in January 2024 and is no longer operating.
