Commercial Metals Company is a global steel producer and scrap recycler founded in 1915 in Dallas, Texas. The company employs more than 13,000 people and operates 209 facilities worldwide, spanning scrap metal recycling, steelmaking, and the manufacture of construction products used in highways, bridges, stadiums and other essential buildings.

Recycling lies at the heart of its model. Commercial Metals Company melts 100% recycled scrap feedstock in electric arc furnaces, a process it says emits 64% less CO2 per ton of steel than traditional steelmaking methods. The firm was the first to build and operate micro mills, and its technical work spans micro mill technology, low-carbon and net zero steel production, industrial automation, construction materials engineering, and an automated digital customer portal for ordering and interaction. Its product range includes sustainable steel products, construction solutions and a Net Zero steel line.
