Cari

Cari runs a permissioned blockchain payment network that tokenises U.S. bank deposits, with APIs, settlement workflows and wallets for banks and digital asset market participants.

Cari operates a permissioned, blockchain-based payment network that brings U.S. bank deposits on-chain and enables programmable, always-on money movement. The platform is aimed at commercial banks and digital asset market participants, and is built in collaboration with bank partners as compliant financial infrastructure connecting traditional and decentralised finance. It supports real-time, 24/7 payment operations.

At the core of the offering are Cari tokens: instruments representing U.S. dollar customer deposits held at participating chartered banks, on a 1:1 basis, while retaining applicable FDIC insurance eligibility. The underlying architecture draws on zero-knowledge and privacy-preserving infrastructure (ZKsync Prividium), tokenised deposits and tokenised USD, smart contracts, and settlement and clearing systems, alongside custody integrations and transaction monitoring.

The product surface also includes bank-facing APIs for integration with the Cari Network and existing banking systems, operational dashboards for bank and network operations, interbank settlement workflows, and a white-labeled wallet. Engineering work therefore spans payment infrastructure, programmable money, and the plumbing between regulated banking systems and on-chain rails.

Geographic presence is currently centred on the United States, with deposits held at U.S. chartered banks. Cari states an emphasis on regulatory compliance, security, risk management, operational reliability, transparency and auditability across the network.
