Architect.io provides a Kubernetes live-migration engine that checkpoints stateful pods before spot node reclaim and restores them elsewhere, plus a scale-to-zero hibernation feature.
Architect.io builds tooling for teams running workloads on Kubernetes. Its main product is a live-migration engine that allows stateful applications to run on spot and preemptible compute without sacrificing reliability. Before a node is reclaimed, the engine checkpoints a running pod's memory, open sockets and in-flight work, then restores that state onto a fresh spot instance. Sessions, queues, caches and transaction processing are preserved without application code changes; the company reports migrations completing in roughly ten seconds with zero data loss and no dropped connections.
A second product applies the same checkpoint-and-restore approach to idle pods. Pods are hibernated while remaining registered with the Kubernetes API, attached to their Services and connected to their persistent volumes, and can be woken in under 50 milliseconds - without image pulls, re-initialisation or JVM warmup.
Technical domains include Kubernetes, live migration, checkpoint and restore, container orchestration, stateful workloads, spot and preemptible compute, hibernation and Amazon EKS. Architect states that stateful workloads deployed this way cost two to three times less than comparable on-demand deployments. The company's website is presented under Loophole Labs.
