Anomalo

Anomalo provides an AI-powered data quality platform that uses unsupervised machine learning to detect and root-cause data anomalies without manual rules or code.

Anomalo is a data quality company founded in 2018 by Elliot Shmukler and Jeremy Stanley, both formerly of Instacart and Wealthfront. Its platform uses unsupervised machine learning to establish what normal data looks like and then flag anomalies automatically, removing the need for manually written rules and thresholds. The approach centres on AI-driven automation rather than brittle threshold-based monitoring, with an emphasis on eliminating manual work for data teams.

The company's product, the Anomalo Data Quality Platform, combines unsupervised machine learning with automated monitoring and alerting to detect, root-cause and resolve data issues at scale without code. Technical work spans unsupervised machine learning, anomaly detection, root cause analysis and no-code data tooling. The company says the platform helps data teams reduce incident response times from days to minutes.

Anomalo has raised $82m in funding. Its customers include Fortune 500 companies such as Block, Discover Financial, Atlassian and Notion. The company operates across enterprise data management, financial services and technology.
