Kateri Day Camp is looking for Summer Camp Lifeguards in Wickatunk, NJ. Working at Kateri Day Camp will give you hands-on experience managing a diverse group of children, developing creative activities and lessons, and growing your understanding of young people. Kateri Day Camp is a non-profit summer camp that provides over 200 children from low-income families, ages 5-13 a safe and wholesome summer camp experience. Daily activities include swim lessons, hikes, nature, games, sports, arts & crafts, literacy, science, and many special events.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack are included at no cost. 

Mandatory training dates: June 13-June 20.  Schedule: June 22- August 07, Monday-Friday from 8:00-3:30.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily swim lessons and Lifeguard duties for children ages 5-13.
  • Must be energetic, responsible, and respectful.
  • Must hold a valid Lifeguard certification including First Aid and CPR or be available to successfully complete these courses that are available at Kateri Day Camp.
  • Please inquire for more details about lifeguard certification.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age and provide working papers.

Qualifications:

  • License/Certification:  Lifeguard Certification (Required)
  • Must have a sincere desire to work with children.
  • Must be able to work entire summer and attend mandatory trainings.
  • Previous experience working with children preferred.
  • Must be hardworking, diligent, energetic, respectful and responsible.
  • Must love being outdoors.

Pay: From $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
