Service Manager – Electrical Engineer

This national Civil Engineering and Construction Contractor is looking for an Electrical Senior Project Engineer is required for a train station upgrade project on Brisbane’s Southside. The project incorporates: Civil, Rail, Structures and Building works. We are looking for a degree qualified Electrical Engineer who can manage the: electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and communications sub contractors on site. Your role will involve
Leading building services project team, responsible for; tendering, design and
procurement through to delivery, commissioning and handover. Managing both consultants and contractors through all phases. Key liaison with client team members for the building services work
Strong focus on management of project quality, program and cost throughout remainder of the project
Desired Qualifications and Experience
▪ Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
▪ Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction/engineering environment
▪ Eligible for CPEng
▪ Experience in Electrical Systems in Rail including understanding of Electrical Safety in the Rail Environment
▪ Working knowledge of HSEQ requirements and implementation of same
▪ Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied
▪ Competent in planning and organising work schedules
▪ Understanding of sustainability principles in through all project phases including design, procurement and construction is desirable

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering are required combined with 5 – 10 years site experience. It is essential that you can manage constantly changing priorities maintaining a professional manner at all times. Rail experience is desirable but not essential. The ideal applicant will also hold professional registration as an electrical engineer and hold a bachelor of electrical engineering.
