Senior Snowflake Data Engineer

What we are looking for

Senior data engineer to join our team and work alongside one of our banking clients.

Initial 6 month full time contract with strong potential to extend. Hybrid model of 2 days in the CBD office.

Must Have

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SnowPipe, Streams, Tasks, and Snowflake architecture concepts
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining Apache Iceberg tables, ideally Iceberg-backed Snowflake external tables
• Production-level experience with dbt (Core or Cloud), including model design, testing, documentation, and CI/CD integration
• Proficiency in Python and/or SQL for pipeline development and data manipulation
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and associated storage services

Highly Desirable

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex Code (CoCo) or other AI-assisted SQL/code generation tooling within a cloud data platform
