High school diploma or GED; three years of college coursework and/or related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of nature and/or adventure-oriented activities like recreational kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding preferred. Experience planning activities; the ability to work with limited supervision; and a desire to work with individuals aged 7-13. First aid and CPR certification preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation is seeking an energetic and motivated person to work in outdoor adventure/nature camps this summer. Duties may include supervising youth participants, directing, planning and implementing recreational activities for a diverse population. Performs other work as required.
Approximately 25 hours weekly, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for 4 weeks in July; additional shifts may be available to include evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
