We exist for better days inspired by iconic flavour. It’s been three decades since Allpress set up their first independent coffee cart, buying a second-hand roaster and embarking on a bold entrepreneurial journey fueled by passion and the search for great flavour. Our little coffee cart helped introduce specialty coffee to New Zealand and changed the drinking habits of a nation. Today, we roast coffee for the best independent cafés in the world.

About the role

Our Techs work Monday to Friday as part of a small, supportive team based at our Brisbane site.

The role offers a great mix of in-house and on-the-road work, with occasional on-call support to keep things running smoothly for our customers.

• Working with espresso machinery to resolve issues, maintenance and repairs.
• Onsite service visits in metro Brisbane, regional Queensland & opportunities for interstate travel.
• Coordinating with the wholesale team to ensure seamless customer service of installs for new customers.
• Maintain schedules, customer records and compile invoices.
• Offer all our customers friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service.

About you

You might be a coffee machine technician already or a seasoned barista with great technical capacity and organizational skills. You might even be an Electrician looking for challenge/change in a new industry. You’ll thrive in a more independent role but enjoy interacting with our customers on the daily. To nail the role, you’ll have some or all of the below;

• Knowledge of espresso machinery (specifically La Marzocco machines)
• Electrical or mechanical trade knowledge/skills would be helpful
• A café barista background or Roasting experience
• Great customer service skills 
• A calm temperament with the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
• A full driver’s license 
• The flexibility to cover out-of-hours and weekend callouts from time to time
