About The role 

We are seeking a Project Officer – Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) to join our Program Operations team. This role plays a key part in coordinating, managing and delivering initiatives that strengthen the primary care response to family, domestic and sexual violence across Western Australia.

Working closely with the Activity Lead – FDSV, internal teams and external partners, you will support the delivery of dynamic, evidence‑based projects that align with national and state priorities and contribute to improved access, quality and outcomes for communities.

This is an opportunity for an organised, collaborative and adaptable project professional who is passionate about improving systems, building partnerships and supporting primary care providers.

This role may require occasional work outside of normal business hours (such as early mornings, evenings, or weekends) to support the delivery of training and education sessions. This is expected to occur approximately once per month.

Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid Role)

Employment Type: Full-time Maximum term contract for 2 years

Salary: Band 4 ($91-$97k Plus 12% Superannuation & Salary Packaging)

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support Activity Leads with planning, delivery and evaluation of activities according to endorsed Activity Plans. 
  • Work with Activity Leads to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers and documentation
  • Support commissioning activities, including procurement and contracting processes
  • Work collaboratively with Finance to monitor and manage project budgets
  • Support the successful transition of projects and initiatives into business‑as‑usual
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including general practices, government and community organisations
  • Facilitate collaboration through meetings, workshops and Communities of Practice
  • Provide administrative support – arranging meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, updating records and task lists. 
  • Coordinate and manage event registrations and communications
  • Support the development of evidence‑based tools and resources for primary health care providers
  • Assist with the delivery of training and education activities
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure project compliance and quality delivery
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project information, milestones and KPIs
  • Prepare high‑quality reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure all activities meet legal, contractual and organisational requirements                                                                                                     

About you

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in health, community services or a related field
  • Strong verbal, written and digital communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in implementation of projects in the health or community sector. 
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt in dynamic environments

Desirable skills include:

  • Qualification in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP or similar)
  • Experience using project management tools and systems
