Installs, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on plumbing, gas and HVAC systems at county buildings/structures at an entry-level or journeyman level.
Reports routine and emergency issues within county buildings.
Performs pipe-fitting work on fire sprinkler systems, compressed air lines, storage tanks, and fuel lines.
Observes all safety rules and practices as established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), State of Maryland and the County.
Willingly and cooperatively performs tasks and duties which may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but which are within the general occupational category and responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s class for work.
Minimum Qualifications
Possess a Journeyman Plumbers License issued by either the State of Maryland or the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC).
Possess at least two (2) years of experience working at an independent level in the commercial service area.
