Description

Lilli is transforming how people are supported at home through technology. Our mission is to help people live independently for longer, giving families peace of mind and improving quality of life.

We’re looking for a practical, reliable and compassionate Occupational Therapist - Home Installation Technician to join Lilli.

This is a field-based role across the South of England, where you’ll travel to customers’ homes to install, configure and support Lilli’s home monitoring technology.

At Lilli, we help people live safely and independently in their own homes. Many of our customers are older adults or vulnerable individuals, so this role goes beyond technical installation. You’ll be working in people’s homes, often at sensitive moments, and it’s essential that you bring a calm, respectful and empathetic approach to every visit.

This role would suit someone with a background in assistive technology, telecare, field service engineering, or health & social care with a hands-on element.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit customers in their homes to install Lilli technology
  • Set up and tailor equipment to each individual’s needs, ensuring it works effectively within their home environment
  • Take time to support customers and families, explaining how the technology works in a clear and reassuring way
  • Identify and resolve any setup or connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, routers, IoT devices) to ensure a smooth experience
  • Configure mobile apps (iOS/Android) so families can stay connected and informed
  • Carry out safe and appropriate installation, including minor adjustments to suit the home environment
  • Remove, replace or upgrade equipment as required, ensuring minimal disruption to the customer
  • Keep clear and accurate records of visits, installations and any concerns using HubSpot CRM
  • Recognise and escalate any risks, incidents or safeguarding concerns appropriately
  • Maintain your equipment and stock to ensure you’re always ready for customer visits
  • Share feedback and insights from customers to help improve our service and product

Requirements

  • Experience in a hands-on role within the community, field, or home environment (e.g. installations, technical support, healthcare or social care)
  • Comfortable working in people’s homes, including with older adults or vulnerable individuals
  • Confidence using and troubleshooting home technology (e.g. Wi-Fi, routers, connected devices)
  • Strong practical skills with a thoughtful, problem-solving approach
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain things clearly and reassure customers and families
  • Able to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
  • Awareness of basic electrical safety and safe working practices
  • A customer-first, empathetic approach, with sensitivity to different home environments and individual needs

Desirable

  • Experience with assistive technology, telecare or Technology Enabled Care (TEC)
  • Background in health or social care (e.g. OT assistant, support worker, rehabilitation assistant)
  • Experience adapting or installing equipment in home environments
  • Safeguarding training (Level 1 or above)
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality (GDPR)
