NHS Asst. Girls Basketball Coaching

Assistant Boys Basketball Coach:  Nickerson High School has an opening for an assistant girls basketball coach for the 2026-2027 school year.  Interested candidates will need to complete the online application at www.usd309ks.org.  Please direct all additional questions to Devin MAxwell at dmaxwell@usd309ks.org or call (620) 422-3226  Position will remain open until filled.

Key Requirements:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the rules and fundamentals of the sport assigned to the coach.
• Develop positive relations with students and parents.  This includes proper dress, language, demeanor, and student/teacher relations.
• To be active in building participation, conditioning, and training through camps and individual contacts.
• To model the skills of the sport.  (Bending, running, jumping, twisting, and lifting).
• Maintain, issue, and provide an accurate inventory of school equipment.
• Provide eligibility lists, rosters, and other paperwork as required by the administration.
• Maintain a conducive and safe environment
• Provide emergency first aid.
• Must be first aid and CPR certified and obtain KSHSAA certifications.
