We are seeking a skilled Plumber to support the maintenance operations of a luxury beachfront resort. This role is essential to ensuring reliable water systems, proper drainage, and exceptional guest comfort across all areas of the property.
The ideal candidate is highly experienced in diagnosing and repairing plumbing systems, works efficiently and discreetly, and understands the importance of maintaining a seamless, high-end guest experience.
Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems throughout the resort, including:
Guest rooms and suites
Fine dining restaurants, bars, and commercial kitchens
Spa, wellness, and fitness facilities
Pools, cabanas, and beachfront amenities
Event venues, laundry facilities, and back-of-house operations
Perform preventative maintenance on water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and equipment
Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, water heaters, boilers, and recirculation systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as leaks, clogs, pressure irregularities, and fixture malfunctions
Ensure proper operation of grease traps, backflow preventers, and sewage systems
Respond promptly and professionally to plumbing-related service requests and emergencies
Ensure compliance with all Florida and local plumbing codes, safety standards, and resort policies
Collaborate with Engineering and Facilities teams on renovations and capital improvement projects
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, particularly in guest-facing environments
Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program preferred
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on plumbing experience, preferably in a commercial or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Certifications
Journeyman-level plumbing experience preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Backflow prevention certification preferred
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
Preferred Experience
Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or beachfront properties
Familiarity with:
Commercial kitchen plumbing systems
Pool, spa, and water feature systems
High-capacity water heating and recirculation systems
Outdoor plumbing systems exposed to salt air environments
Experience maintaining systems in high-humidity, coastal climates
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with guests
Experience supporting large-scale events and high-occupancy operations
Work Environment
Luxury beachfront setting with exposure to sun, humidity, salt air, and varying weather conditions
Requires extensive walking, standing, bending, and lifting
Work may include heights, confined spaces, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, attics, and outdoor areas
Fast-paced, guest-focused environment requiring discretion and professionalism at all times
