The City of Oxnard's Cultural and Community Services Department is seeking part-time Lifeguards to join our team! Under general supervision, this role will provide lifeguard services for public swimming and instruction.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The Lifeguard II is the journey level classification in which incumbents are expected to independently perform the full scope of assigned duties. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and normally filled by advancement from Lifeguard I, or when filled from the outside, require prior experience in lifeguard and swim instruction. This class is distinguished from the next higher classification of Senior Lifeguard in that the latter performs duties requiring a broader and more detailed understanding of operations, and has the responsibility for supervision and training of assigned personnel.
