Work Experience Description:

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Job Summary
Oversees users of the university swimming pool.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Currently American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of all individuals in and around the pool area
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents that may occur
  • Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as necessary
  • Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify any hazards or potential risks
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, including regular pool cleaning duties
