About the Opportunity

The Integrated Product Support (IPS) Maintenance Engineer is an IPS practitioner and maintenance support specialist. This position develops, analyses and plans maintenance engineering activities to ensure maritime systems are supportable, maintainable, and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle.

Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer will assist with the development of maintenance strategies and analysis and provides engineering rigour supporting the integration of maintenance requirements into design and sustainment planning.

Working closely and collaborating across IPS disciplines and design engineering teams delivering effective support solutions.

You’ll Need

  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems or related discipline).
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance engineering in a complex asset environment.
  • Maintenance documentation development, including maintenance procedures, schedules and plans.
  • Familiarity with IPS principles, systems engineering lifecycle and design integration.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Systems Engineering, Asset Management, or Defence Logistics.
  • Proficiency in RCM, FMECA, LORA, and other maintenance analysis techniques.
  • Experience in Defence Acquisition / ILS or IPS Program and/or knowledge of Australian Standards for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON)
  • Participation in design reviews
