Job Title: High School Boys Head Basketball Coach
Reports To: Athletic Director
Position Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
Position Summary:
North Park School District is seeking a motivated and responsible Coach to lead and support student-athletes in developing athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Coach will organize practices, prepare the team for competition, and promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead effective practices.
Teach sport-specific skills, strategies, and rules.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.
Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes.
Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and school staff.
Maintain equipment and coordinate game preparation and travel as needed.
Follow North Park, Western-Slope League, and Colorado athletic policies and guidelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Pass a CBI and FBI background check
Ability to complete the CHSAA 1st Year Coaches Test, Concussion Training, Mandatory Reporter Training, and First Aid/CPR certification
Previous playing or coaching experience in basketball preferred.
Ability to work with student-athletes in a positive and constructive way.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Compensation:
Stipend based on district salary schedule.

Working Conditions: The majority of the coaching job will take place in a gym. The assistant coach is expected to attend all practices and games. Travel is required.
