Diamond High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Girls Basketball Coach to lead and develop the high school girls basketball program. The head coach will be responsible for organizing and directing all aspects of the program while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success among student-athletes. This position will primarily be paired with a Middle School PE teaching job, however, other options may be considered.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and conduct practices and games for the girls basketball program.
Develop student-athletes’ basketball skills, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and coordinate program expectations across all levels.
Ensure compliance with school policies and all applicable athletic association rules.
Promote academic accountability and positive character among student-athletes.
Coordinate schedules, transportation, equipment needs, and communication with players and parents.
Support and encourage participation in the girls basketball program at all grade levels.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills while fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes.
