GirlSummer is an inclusive all-girls summer experience for campers entering 2nd-9th grade. GirlSummer allows each camper the opportunity to explore, play, and learn on our vibrant campus. Each session is two-weeks in length Monday thru Friday, with Session I operating July 6 - July 17, 2026 and Session II operating July 20 - July 31, 2026.
GirlSummer Counselor:
The GirlSummer counselor reports to the Director of GirlSummer and partners with other counselors between and among disciplines to develop and execute curriculum and activities that foster the mission of GirlSummer.
The counselor will teach four classes per week-day and actively participate in morning activities, morning meeting, and lunch programming.
The counselor will participate in orientation from June 29-July 1st (9am-2pm), the duration of camp between July 6th and July 31, 2026, and a post camp cleanup day on August 3rd (9-12pm) as well as morning and after care on a rotating schedule. The counselor will view the camp through a holistic and evaluative lens so as to provide feedback and best practice observations after GirlSummer concludes.
The counselor is expected on campus each day by 7:45am and their day will conclude at 3:45pm. Subject to change on days that the counselor is assisting with before or aftercare as well as staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
GirlSummer Lifeguard:
The GirlSummer lifeguard reports to the Director of GirlSummer and partners with other counselors and lifeguards between and among disciplines to develop and execute curriculum and activities that foster the mission of GirlSummer. The lifeguard will be stationed as a lifeguard for at least four classes per day, with an option to teach up to one non-pool elective per day. The lifeguard will actively participate in morning activities, morning meetings, and lunch programming. The lifeguard is expected on campus each day by 7:45 a.m. and their day will conclude at 3:45p.m. with the exception when the lifeguard is scheduled to staff before/after care.
