There is currently one permanent whole-time vacancy available in the Child & Adolescent Community Weight Management Service, Waterford.

Panels may be formed by IHA Area as a result of this campaign for Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist (Child & Adolescent Community Weight Management Service) from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the Post

The Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist will:

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to:

· provide evidence-based care to children, young people and their families attending the Child and Adolescent Community Weight Management Service in line with the national care guidelines and standards.

· build capacity across primary care for early identification and intervention for weight management and appropriate referral.

· Work with the HSE Obesity Clinical Programme to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a standardised, evidence-based model of service delivery.

Be a resource and provide expert opinion, advice and guidance to physiotherapy colleagues and other health care professionals within the child health service and primary care.
