Electrical Technician & Systems Operator (m/f/x) | Climate Tech Startup

As an electrical or mechatronics technician, you will be the technical engine of our recycling plant. This role is built for a true "doer" who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship. You won't just sit in an office; you will be on the floor, directly performing electrical installations and maintenance while simultaneously mastering our production process as an Operator during our scale-up phase.

Your responsibilities:

• Take ownership of electrical safety, installation, maintenance, and documentation as the designated VEFK.
• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumps, motors, valves, control cabinets, and other equipment to minimize downtime.
• Install electro-mechanical equipment, manage cable runs, and support contractors on site.
• Operate chemical-industrial equipment safely and efficiently while supporting daily production and plant operations as a lead operator.
• Assist with commissioning, plant modifications, construction of new lines, material handling, documentation, and internal material movements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following SOPs, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Continuously improve equipment, production areas, safety standards, and overall plant operations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.

What you need to succeed:

• Completed vocational training (e.g., Elektroniker für Betriebstechnik, Mechatroniker) with several years of "hands-on" experience.
• Proven VEFK (DGUV 3/VDE 1000-10) qualification with the readiness for formal appointment.
• Solid experience in industrial operations, chemical handling, or production environments.
• Pragmatic and hardworking: You see the value in operating the machines you maintain to better understand their performance.
• Flexible, proactive, and accountable: startup mindset required.
• Comfortable with shift work (including nights/weekends).
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting materials safely.
• Valid Forklift License (Staplerschein) and or Drivers licence is a strong plus.
• Reliable team player with a hands-on approach and clear communication in English and ideally German.
