POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a pilot to serve as part of a two-pilot flight crew to transport UF or UAA employees/passengers on long or short flights for business or leisure travel. This position is responsible for the overall safety, efficiency and smooth operation of the aircraft, and the final authority in the flight operations of the aircraft for assigned flights. This includes ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Foreign regulations and policies/procedures specified in the UAA Flight Operations Manual.

This position requires the incumbent to have a high level of professionalism and discretion; be current on requirements regarding flight time and night landings; be detail-oriented; the ability to interact with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and all levels of management; and work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive overnight travel.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree*
  • Current multi-engine commercial pilot’s rating
  • Current second-class medical certificate
  • Minimum of 900 flight hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
  • EMB-500 and/or EMB-505 type ratings as appropriate (PIC, SIC)
  • 100 or more flight hours Turbine/Turbofan flight time
  • 1,500 or more flight hours

*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree requirements

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
