If youre an ambitious engineer looking to make a real impact on complex, highprofile civil engineering projects across the UK and internationally, this opportunity stands out. Our client is a specialist consultancy working at the forefront of major infrastructure and coastal/marine development. Their projects shape cities, protect communities, and enhance global connectivity - from new international port developments to the renewal of historic waterfront structures.

This is a chance to step into a senior role where your ideas carry weight, your leadership is recognised, and your career can grow in a supportive, expert environment.

The Role

Were seeking a chartered or nearly chartered Engineer with 45+ yearsexperience in heavy civil or structural design. Maritime experience is beneficial but not essential - what matters most is your willingness to learn and your ability to tackle complex engineering challenges and deliver meaningful, lasting solutions.

As a key member of a collaborative and highly skilled team, you will:

  • Lead projects endtoend: from due diligence and concept design through to construction delivery.
  • Work closely with clients and senior leadership to shape technical direction and project outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, supporting their development and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Bring innovative thinking to a wide range of infrastructure challenges.
  • Contribute to UK and international projects including ports, harbours, jetties, quays, breakwaters, flood defences, and waterfront developments.

No two days are the same - one week you might be inspecting an ageing coastal asset, the next you could be helping shape the masterplan for a major overseas development.

What Were Looking For

  • Chartered or nearly chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with a relevant masters degree.
  • Strong experience in structural or infrastructure design.
  • Confident project management and clientfacing skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring others.
  • A proactive, solutionsfocused approach with a flair for innovation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What Youll Receive

Our client is committed to helping their people thrive - offering a supportive, sociable workplace with genuine career progression and a benefits package that reflects your expertise:

  • £38,000£48,000
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Company pension
  • Salary sacrifice schemes
  • Employee rewards platform
  • Regular social events and activities
