Job Description: Senior Cloud & AI Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud & AI Platform Engineer with deep hands‑on experience in Azure cloud networking, automation, AI/ML platform engineering, and GenAI technologies. This role requires someone who can design and build end-to-end cloud and AI systems—not just deploy components. Candidates must demonstrate genuine, independent technical capability without the use of external “helpers” during interviews or technical screenings.

Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Engineering

• Design and implement Azure cloud networking architectures, including VNets, private endpoints, firewalls, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Build secure and scalable cloud platforms incorporating Azure Identity, RBAC, Key Vault, managed identities, and PKI.
• Implement enterprise‑grade security and governance controls suitable for regulated environments.

AI/ML & GenAI Platform Engineering

• Build and maintain end‑to‑end ML pipelines (data ingestion → training → deployment → monitoring).
• Develop MLOps / AIOps automation, integrating model registries, monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Work with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, vector databases, and RAG pipelines (nice to have).
• Collaborate with data science teams to deploy models into production securely and reliably.

Automation, CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code

• Build fully automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure CLI, Terraform.
• Develop and maintain reusable IaC modules for infrastructure provisioning.
• Create APIs and automation tools using Python to orchestrate workflows and platform capabilities.

Security & Compliance

• Implement enterprise controls including RBAC, managed identities, encryption standards, PKI, and secrets management.
• Ensure compliance within highly regulated industries (banking experience is a plus).
• Apply least‑privilege principles, auditability, and proper separation of duties.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

• Work closely with architecture, operations, and security teams.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly, avoiding buzzwords or vague descriptions.
• Mentor engineering teams in best practices for cloud, DevOps, AI/ML, and GenAI.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical

• Azure Cloud (expert-level): design, networking, security, automation.
• Terraform / IaC: hands‑on module development (not theoretical).
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, pipelines, secrets management.
• Python: APIs, automation scripts, integration services.
• MLOps / AIOps: model lifecycle pipelines, monitoring, A/B testing, telemetry.
• Security: RBAC, Key Vault, PKI, certificates, identity governance.
• Automation: Azure Automation, Functions, CLI scripting.
• GenAI (nice to have): LangChain, Semantic Kernel, embeddings, vector stores.

Professional

• Experience building AI platforms, not just models.
• Ability to explain architecture clearly with depth—not surface-level terminology.
• Experience working in regulated industries, ideally financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently (no external helpers during evaluations).

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Has built an AI/ML platform, not just models.
• Deep expertise in Azure, Terraform, CI/CD, security, and automation.
• Real production experience with GenAI/RAG solutions.
• Strong understanding of banking/regulated environments.
• Communicates architecture clearly, logically, and with real depth.
