Duties & Responsibilities


Job Description
  • Provide advanced technical support for our Digital Farming (DF) and related product lines
  • Design modern system schematics using AutoCAD
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of DF systems and pilot sites
  • Assemble and wire control panels, dosing units, radio modules, and protection systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues remotely and on-site across South Africa and the SADC region
  • Conduct training for dealers and end-users to ensure optimal system use
  • Support auxiliary systems, including filter banks and control modules
  • Report directly to the DF Technical Manager and collaborate with the DF Product Manager as needed

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, or mechatronic systems
  • Strong working knowledge and practical experience with PLC systems and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), including installation, programming, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Familiarity with Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems is advantageous
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software related to VSDs and PLCs, with an emphasis on industrial applications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Inventor is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills

Qualifications
  • BTech or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a certified Electrician Trade Test
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport (required for travel across South Africa and the SADC region)
