Mechanic
Responsibilities

- Lead the mechanical engineering team in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment related to power plants including turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems.

- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.

- Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence and improve system integrity.

- Collaborate closely with project management teams to ensure mechanical design and installation meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by integrating best practices and new technologies that enhance mechanical system performance and reduce operational costs.

- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality procurement of mechanical parts and services.

- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards during mechanical operations and maintenance activities, fostering a culture of safety first.

- Prepare detailed technical reports, maintenance records, and documentation for audit and operational transparency.

- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, cultivating a skilled and motivated team aligned with Adani’s culture of learning and growth.

- Coordinate mechanical shutdowns and turnaround activities with minimal disruption to plant operations, ensuring timely and efficient completion.

- Work closely with electrical, instrumentation, and control teams to facilitate integrated plant operations.

- Support budgeting and resource planning for mechanical engineering projects and maintenance activities.

- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align mechanical engineering goals with overall organizational objectives and Adani’s vision for sustainable growth.



Qualifications
Education Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution. A Master’s degree or higher education in relevant fields will be an advantage.

Certification Required

- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification is preferred. - Relevant safety certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent are desirable.
