How to Manage a Small Law Firm

Coaching and business advisory firm helping solo and small law firm owners build sustainable, profitable businesses through C-suite services, training content and community.

How to Manage a Small Law Firm (HTM) is a coaching and business advisory company that works with solo and small law firm owners in the United States. It helps them build sustainable, profitable businesses by implementing systems, creating predictable revenue and supporting growth. The company was founded by RJon Robins, a licensed attorney and 8-figure entrepreneur, and grew out of his own experience of running a law firm without formal business operations training.

Its services are structured around a set of C-suite functions typically unavailable to small firms: CEO-level strategic direction, COO-level operations, CFO-level financial clarity and CMO-level marketing strategy. Alongside this advisory work, HTM runs coaching and educational programmes, which it says have helped thousands of law firm owners, and organises quarterly live meetings for firm owners.

The company produces its own training and media content, including the Real Lawyers podcast and a mobile app carrying hundreds of hours of training material for law firm owners. Technical work spans mobile app development, podcast production and digital training content production. HTM has been recognised on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in multiple consecutive years.
